  • Habeas Corpus

Habeas Corpus is not a book about law but the human body. The book itself is short with vivid word choice and tongue in cheek humor. The client requested that body parts be depicted on the cover but to strictly avoid gory or shocking imagery. This lead to the decision of silhouettes giving the piece a classy feel while keeping true to the client's request.

  • Collateral Damage

Focal Piece for the anthology project Collateral Damage. Info about the project can be found at the following: http://www.glasslyrepress.com/collateral-damage.html Client requested something stark representing both the Earth and it's children. The egg motif was decided upon as it represents one of the earliest stages of life. The broken shell signifying how easy it is for that life to be taken and ruins left behind. This is a charity project with proceeds from the eventual sales going to children in desperate need. This money will be going to UNICEF and similar organizations.

  • First Water

First Water combines the best of the best from the previous digital issues of Pirene's Fountain and gathers them in Glass Lyre Press's first publication. The painting itself is of the Naiad Pirene in her fountain which, according to legend was an inspiration to the muses. Pictures of the ancient fountain as well as a dear friend for Pirene herself were used in the creation of this image.

  • Sunrise From Blue Thunder

A poetry anthology by Pirene's Fountain in response to the devastating Tsunami that hit Japan back in 2011. Proceeds of the book go to the relief effort for the Tsunami and still do to this day. The idea behind the cover was that even through all the water, Japan could not be swallowed. The Sun is representing Japan

  • Poets for Change Pegasus

2013 was the first year that Glass Lyre Press/Pirene's fountain participated in the charity event hosted by 100 Thousand Poets for Change. The Pegasus is an integral part of Pirene's legend and as such, a very special creature to us at GLP. The poster was used as both an online and physical poster to attract attention to the event.
